Assessments

A Road Map to Healing

We're here to help you better understand the child's behavior, offering a road map to holistic healing.

During our trauma assessment and psychological evaluations, we look at the child's strengths and challenges, and how past experiences might be affecting them. This gives us the insights and recommendations we need to develop a custom plan that supports their growth and development.

We Offer a Safe Space for Families

While not therapy, our assessments are therapeutic in nature and offer a space in which families can be their true, authentic selves. Our evaluations specialize in integrating a history of trauma into understanding a child’s presentation, with a particular focus on the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics “Brain Metric.”

We Move Families Toward Hope

We understand that every family's journey is unique. We walk alongside your family, involving you in the process as we use trauma-informed, respectful, and culturally sensitive practices to foster healing and strengthen connections.

We Work to Understand Your Family Better

Caregiver reflections and insights are important to us during the assessment process as we get to know your family better. We use a variety tools to gain deeper insight into your family's specific needs. This might include interviews, questionnaires, and fun activities for the whole family – including videos or resources.

What to Expect

Our specialists will meet with you and the child, observe them in action, and may use specific tests to gather information. After this, we'll analyze everything we learn to create a detailed report that explains our findings. Based on the evaluation, we'll work with you to develop recommendations you can use at home and school to support the child's success. Additional psychological evaluations can provide specific scores in areas like intelligence or academic skills, offering even more insights. These generally include diagnostics and diagnostic clarification.
